Description

Amtech India’s offers above apparatus for determining the acceleration due to gravity ”g” by activity the time of fall of a steel spherical ball through a noted distance. The Above equipment measures the time it takes for a ball to fall a particular distance employing a digital timer.

The instrument is specially designed to work out the worth of acceleration due to gravity of the free-falling body. It consists of a timer with a time resolution of 0.001 secs. & a mechanical arrangement alongside 2 steel balls of radii 12mm & 15mm. Mechanical arrangement contains an electromagnet & scale and a detection plate deep down. Electromagnet holds one in every of the steel ball & moment the timer is initiated the ball is unharnessed and it strikes the detector plate deep down.

At the instant timer stops mechanically & time of travel (t) is displayed on the timer. the gap of travel (s) is measured on the dimensions, considering initial rate (u) to be zero acceleration thanks to gravity (g) is given by g = (2s)/(t*t) cm per second sq.
